Our talented surf instructors apply personalised instructing methods to encourage you in a way that best suits your learning style. We strive to help you achieve your goals through constructive advice, selecting the correct surf board and choosing the right surfing spots. We choose from a selection of waves around the ‘Bukit’, South peninsula that will respectfully challenge and build your confidence.
INTERMEDIATE SURF BALI PROGRAM
Our intermediate surf lessons in Bali are tailored for surfers who have previously accomplished level 3 and are enhancing their skills to levels 4-6. This lesson program is right for you if you feel confident in the water and do not need physical aid onto waves, and would like direction with refining your personal surfing skills. This may include timing and positioning in the water, acceleration, improving surf technique or manoeuvres. You can also join us if you are just seeking guidance for trying a new surf spot in Bali.
Our intermediate surf lessons & guided tours aim to help you with the following criteria; SHOW LESS
LEVEL:
SURF MANOEUVRES & WAVE KNOWLEDGE
- Assess surfing conditions: swell, tides, wind direction & speed
- Identify and use different types of rips, correct paddling out protocol & how to wipe out safely at intermediate level
- Comfortable in 3 feet waves, duck dive to negotiate broken & unbroken waves
- Choose correct waves to ride, identify the correct take-off position & understand how body weight and speed affects surfing
- Demonstrate ability to control the surfboard and link intermediate level surfing manoeuvres
- Top and bottom turns, cutbacks and re-entries on forehand & backhand
LEVEL:
EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE & MANOEUVRE SKILLS
- Identify how parts of your board affect performance & types of fins / fin system
- Choose different boards for surfing style & surfing conditions
- Top and bottom turns (back hand), cut-back (forehand), re-entry (forehand) & linking manoeuvres
LEVEL:
REFINED SURFING SKILLS & MANOEUVRES
- Experience & knowledge in beach break, reef break, point break & river mouth ocean environments
- Cut back (backhand), re-entry (forehand) & linking
